Historia de la Competición
Este Torneo Internacional rinde tributo a Raúl Calvo Clavero, judoca gaditano que falleció el 5 de noviembre de 1971 en un desafortunado accidente deportivo en Madrid (España). Miembro de Equipo Nacional Español, contando con un asombroso palmarés deportivo para sus recién cumplidos 20 años.
El Consejo Superior de Deportes y la Federación Nacional de Judo, aparte de otras distinciones, deciden perpetuar su memoria creando el CAMPEONATO INTERNACIONAL DE ESPAÑA JUNIOR, que llevaría su nombre y estableciendo como límite la edad que tenía Raúl Calvo al sufrir el accidente.
El Memorial Raúl Calvo recibe la categoría en 1976 de Campeonato Mundial y en 1984 la categoría de Campeonato de Europa. En este Torneo han tomado parte Campeones de Europa, Mundiales y Olímpicos.
Unos días antes de la celebración de nuestra XVIII Edición, falleció nuestro querido presidente Carlos Calvo Chozas a la edad de 82 años, que había llevado la dirección de nuestra federación desde el inicio de nuestro deporte en Cádiz hasta su fallecimiento, durante un período de 25 años. Ya para esa edición y con carácter definitivo se instituyó el premio Presidente Carlos Calvo Chozas que se entrega al primer equipo clasificado y que consiste en un trofeo de plata maciza.
Así bien, en este Torneo Internacional, se rinde un merecido homenaje al padre y al hijo que tanto dieron por nuestro querido Judo.
El Memorial Raúl Calvo ha sido siempre reconocido y valorado por el gran número de países que han participado en sus diversas ediciones, de ahí que este Campeonato haya adquirido desde sus primeras andaduras el título de Campeonato Internacional de España, que es con el que hoy en día es reconocido.
A lo largo de sus 51 anteriores ediciones, y en esta, los países que han participado, muchos de ellos en diversas ocasiones han sido los siguientes:

7. CONDICIONES
La organización se hará cargo del alojamiento y manutención de los equipos en las siguientes condiciones:
- Alojamiento de 8 componentes del equipo (6 titulares + 2 reservas) + un entrenador + un árbitro el sábado 18 de octubre. También se cubrirá el alojamiento del día 17 de octubre a aquellos equipos que por circunstancias de viaje tengan que llegar ese día.
8. EQUIPOS INVITADOS
Selecciones o Combinados Internacionales, España, Fuerzas Armadas y todas las Comunidades Autónomas.
Confirmada ya la participación de los equipos Nacionales de IJF, Portugal, Finlandia, España, Fuerzas Armadas.
9. MODO DE COMPETICIÓN
Categoría: Absolutos por Equipos Mixtos.
Edades: Nacidos 2008 y anteriores.
Formato: Según número de inscripciones.
Numero de Tatamis: 3 o 4 (según número de inscripciones)
Duración del combate: 4 minutos.
10. ACREDITACIÓN
Según programa.

Categorías de Pesos: -57kg, -70kg, +70kg y -73kg, -90kg +90kg
Grado Mínimo: Cinturón Marrón
12. PESAJE Y CONTROL DE LA DOCUMENTACIÓN
Pesaje y control de documentación sábado 18 de octubre en el pabellón de 12.00 a 12.30 horas.
16.00 horas: Inicio de la competición.
13. JUDOGUI
Judogi Blanco y Azul son obligatorios.

- Previa a la competición se publicarán en la web de la FANJYDA www.fanjyda.com los sorteos de la competición.
17. NOTA IMPORTANTE
La organización no se hace responsable de las posibles lesiones, tratamiento en hospital, accidentes y otras causas que pudieran derivarse de la participación en la competición.
Todos los participantes, entrenadores o tutores aceptan las normas de esta competición con él envió de su inscripción. Aquellos deportistas que sufran patologías no restrictivas o limitativas para el deporte del judo (asma, diabetes, ansiedad, epilepsia, etc…) deben notificarlo por escrito a la FANJYDA, para una mejor actuación de los servicios médicos de la competición. Dicha información es confidencial, por lo que solo se pondrá en conocimiento del médico de la competición, para que disponga de las ayudas paliativas necesarias en caso de algún incidente durante el desarrollo del evento.
Para resolver cualquier aspecto o duda no contemplada en esta circular se atenderá a lo recogido en la Normativa General de la RFEJYDA o en su defecto se resolverá a criterio de la Dirección Deportiva.

History of the Competition
This International Tournament pays tribute to Raúl Calvo Clavero, a judoka from Cádiz who passed away on November 5, 1971, in an unfortunate sports accident in Madrid, Spain. He was a member of the Spanish National Team and had already achieved an outstanding sports record at just 20 years old.
The Higher Sports Council (CSD) and the Spanish Judo Federation, along with other institutions, decided to honor his memory by creating the INTERNATIONAL SPANISH JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP bearing his name, establishing as age limit the same he had at the time of his passing.
In 1976, the Raúl Calvo Memorial received the category of World Championship, and in 1984, it was recognized as a European Championship. Throughout its history, the tournament has welcomed European, World, and Olympic champions.
Just days before the 18th edition of the event, our beloved president Carlos Calvo Chozas passed away at the age of 82. He had led our federation from the very beginning of judo in Cádiz and for 25 years until his death. From that edition on, the President Carlos Calvo Chozas Trophy was established as a permanent award, presented to the top-ranked team and consisting of a solid silver trophy.
Thus, this International Tournament renders a heartfelt tribute to both father and son, who gave so much for our beloved sport of judo.
The Raúl Calvo Memorial has always been highly recognized and valued by the numerous countries that have participated throughout its history. From its early days, the tournament earned the distinction of being called the International Spanish Championship, a title that remains today.

7. CONDITIONS
The organization will cover accommodation and meals under the following conditions:
- Accommodation on Saturday, October 18, for 8 team members (6 starters + 2 reserves), 1 coach, and 1 referee.
- Teams requiring arrival on October 17 due to travel constraints will also be provided accommodation for that night.
8. INVITED TEAMS
International national selections or mixed teams, Spanish national team, Armed Forces, and all Autonomous Communities.
Already confirmed: IJF, Portugal, Finland, Spain, and Spanish Armed Forces.
9. COMPETITION FORMAT
- Category: Mixed Teams – Senior
- Eligible Birth Years: Born in 2008 or earlier
- Format: Based on number of registered teams
- Number of Tatamis: 3 or 4 (depending on registrations)
- Match Duration: 4 minutes
10. ACCREDITATION
As per the official schedule.
11. WEIGHT CATEGORIES & RANK REQUIREMENT
- Weight Categories:
Women: -57 kg, -70 kg, +70 kg
Men: -73 kg, -90 kg, +90 kg - Minimum Grade: Brown Belt
12. WEIGH IN AND DOCUMENT CHECK
- Date: Saturday, October 18
- Time: 12:00 to 12:30 PM at the sports venue
- Competition Start: 4:00 PM
13. JUDOGI
Both white and blue judogi are mandatory.

The organization is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, hospital treatments, or incidents that may arise during participation.
By submitting the registration, all participants, coaches, or legal guardians accept the competition rules.
Athletes with non-restrictive conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, anxiety, epilepsy) must notify FANJYDA in writing. This information will remain confidential and only shared with the competition medical staff to ensure appropriate assistance during the event.
For any matter not covered in this document, the General Regulations of the Spanish Royal Judo Federation (RFEJYDA) shall apply, or decisions will be made at the discretion of the Sports Directorate.
